Luke and Ed have taken their campaign to an ice-cream-based music festival, where they chatted to bands, hung out with cows and took part in toe-wrestling matches hosted by men in hot-pants.
Touching down at the Ben & Jerry’s Festival at London’s Clapham Common, Luke and Ed (aka The Smile High Club) set about generating support for their campaign and putting grins on the gobs of dessert-loving festival-goers.
Among the highlights of their time at the festival were interviews with indie kids Idlewild, Slow Club and Little Fish, who all made pledges to support the Smile High Club and generally start smiling more; climbing on top of a bus with a megaphone which they used to convince the queuing masses to do a Mexican wave; chatting to ‘Mystic Moo’ (a cow with a crystal ball) about the future of their campaign and taking part in a toe-wrestling match hosted by dudes in super-tight denim shorts (mmm sexy).
Luke and Ed also challenged some Hula-Hoopers to a Hula-Hoop-off, did some helter-skeltering with helter-skelterers and got a man on massive stilts to declare his love for the Smile High Club on megaphone. Nice.
Highlights of Luke & Ed’s Ben & Jerry’s trip will be live and dangerous on their campaign page later today. Click back and lap it up like a dollop of Chunky Monkey.
Over and out.
